Kronos and First Spaceship on Venus
Sunday, July 13, 12:00 noon
Complementing the Space Toys exhibition will be a
classic space science-fiction double feature in
the Museum's theater every Sunday from June 22nd
through July 27th, 2003. Directed by Kurt Neumann,
Kronos (1957) is an industrial twist on UFO
invasion. The film depicts a skyscraper-sized
robot stealing Earth's atomic energy. First
Spaceship on Venus (1959) is a German anti-war
parable. International scientists travel in a
sleek rocket only to encounter metal bugs and
powerplants among alien ruins. The movies are free
with Museum admission. |
