Inventing Flight: The Centennial Celebration in
cooperation with the United States Air Force Museum,
will include a festival balloon launch at the museum
during the Fourth of July weekend. This event will
provide three days of excitement and entertainment
including evening balloon glows, morning fun lights,
special-shaped balloons, and a balloon race from
Dayton to Kitty Hawk. Staged at Wright Field, an
historic runway behind the museum, over 100 balloons
are expected to bring more than 100,000 spectators. |
