The Centennial Celebration and The Lightship Group,
in cooperation with the United States Air Force
Museum, will bring together these graceful giants
known as "airships" in a world-record attempt to
gather the most blimps in one place to commemorate
flight of all kinds. Scheduled for July 11 through
July 13, this will be the world's first giant
airship race and meet, bringing events and programs
that include a first-ever evening gala and Airship
Glow, charity rides, obstacle courses in the sky,
and the opportunity to meet airship pilots and
professionals. |
