Brief Description
|
|
EAA's AirVenture Cup Race is being flown to unite
aviation's rich history with its promising future.
The race course brings together aviation's most
historic places: the site of the first powered
flight (Kitty Hawk, NC), to the home of the Wright
brothers (Dayton, OH), to the current home of sport
aviation (Oshkosh, WI). The AirVenture Cup Race
attempts to replicate the excitement of the Bendix
Trophy Races of the 1930's. What better way to
"kick-off" EAA's Annual Convention -- AirVenture --
than with a race that includes these significant
cities. |
