The Collection: Stories: The Dark Model B

Set of images depicting Frank Coffyn preparing a Wright Model B for flight. The airplane appears to be a standard factory made Wright B, although the fabric appears dark, quite unlike the nearly white rubberized fabric usually used on the Wrights' machines. The series begins with airplane coming out of the hangar through to takeoff. Kingsland Coffyn is shown talking with his father while seated on the front spreader bar between the forward 'blinkers.'
