Co-inventor of the airplane. Born August 19, 1871, Dayton, Ohio. Died January 30, 1948, Dayton, Ohio. Orville was responsible for training the first exhibition team pilots, which he then handed over to Walter Brookins and Arthur Welsh. He was active with the team in 1910, and supervised the operation of the Wright school for several more years.
